The Institution of  Engineering and Technology was formed by the Institution of Electrical Engineers (IEE) and the Institution of Incorporated Engineers (IIE) and now has more than 150,000 members worldwide. It is the largest professional engineering society in Europe and the second largest of its type in the world. This conference is jointly hosted with the IET Younger Member Section (YMS) of Chennai Network.

The IET Chennai Network is chaired by Mr. Hari Eswaran of Easun Groups. The vice chairman is Mr.A Ellappan. The Honarary Secratary is Mr.Pandian of Indian Oil Corporation.

The IET Younger Member Section Chennai Network was formed in the year 2006. The IET YMSC regularly conducting various activites to improve the technology skills. It is chaired by Mr. L. Ramesh. The Honorary Secretary is Mr. K.Senthil Kumar.
